The art of writing is more than inspiration, creativity and unhurried rhythms.
It is an expression of passion that has to come from the heart.

Earthquakey People by Steve Aoki featuring Rivers Cuomo (from Weezer).
Fun song. Makes me laugh and wanna dance. Hee.
Drinkify. Love this! It suggests what drink you should have when you’re listening to the kind of music you love. I keyed in Morcheeba and it told me not to listen to it alone, i should drink a glass of 10 oz Gin, serve neat, stir vigorously.
Love the last part where they say “Created in twenty-four boozy hours by @leyink, @han, and @flaneur at Music Hack Day Boston 2011.” And of course, it’s “Powered by The Echo Nest, Last.fm and what’s left of our livers.”
Try it out yourself. Click here and let me know if it’s accurate for you?
The largest 3D street art in the world is a Guinness® book of records breaker and it is the largest Reebok Crossfit workout area in the world.
Reebok is really trying its best to be cool and relevant. Kudos to them and their effort. So you’ve got the world’s attention, you got the word out, you got the buzz. Did you sell?
We have to realize that creating the awareness and buzz, or talk-ability and viral-ability, does not equate to sales. 2 very different metric of measurement to measure different objectives. When you do a 2 in 1, there’s bound to be a compromise somewhere. Success does not equate to revenue.
Chewie buys a hairdryer. Totally awesome.
Skype + Facebook.
So now Skype supports Facebook. That’s cool. This will increase the user base for Skype. I think the Skype model compared to many others is one of the best. I’m just wondering about their profit margins and if there are many that actually use Skype out or buy Skype credit as opposed to just using it for free.
Love how they have improved over the years, from just being a deskbound operation and moving beyond the PC/Mac to mobile and the video functionality. Well, they have Apple to thank for that with the proliferation of front facing cameras. Again, a borrowed concept and certainly not the first (suck it up Nokia), but the one to make it so much more meaningful. Where does this leave Facetime though?
Can’t think of any company out there that has a glimpse of some form of success that doesn’t use Facebook’s API to connect. A step in the right direction i’d say. What do you think?
Fragment Design Beats by Dr Dre Studio Headphones.
Looks nice. Backed by Beats. Mmmm…nice. Hiroshi Fujiwara stuff is nice. Very understated, not overly loud but at the same time well designed with subtle branding. Well, in this case, the b’s pretty darn obvious, but i think it’s an interesting colorway with the blue. I think i want this, not sure if i trust those from Shen Zhen.
Donatella Versace for H&M.
I think i like the studded jacket, belt and the plain jacket. All black, go figure. The rest of them seem a little loud, but would most certainly want to check them out. I bet this is going to be one of the hot sellers of the season. H&M is generally very well priced, their collabs are a little pricier but still generally affordable. So much for that press release where Donatella insisted she wouldn’t launch a cheaper line. If the items i like cost a minimum of SGD$200, i will want her dead.
Duran Duran - Girl Panic.
Cool concept. Who doesn’t love Supermodels in Music Videos?
That feeling you get when your iPhone rings from someone actually “calling” you.
